Brewed with Eraclea Italian Pilsner Malt and hopped aggressively with German Perle & Spalter Select, this rustic Mediterranean thirst quencher is hitting all the right spots for us right now. Apricot & citrus pith in the nose. Orange granita, fresh baked whole wheat bread, and lemon marmalade on the palate.

12oz can served in a tulip. Can is dated, but can't read part of it: ??/20/23. Sent to me by @jonphisher.

Pours clear, pale yellow, with a small head, lots of carbation. Smell is a little lager yeast funk, some lemon and grass.

Taste is light, more of the lager funk and lemon. Light flavor in general, a little honeysuckle sweetness in the finish.

Mouthfeel is light, a bit filmy. Overall, pretty good.

(12 oz can, code FOX 12/20/23; purchased cold 6 pack at the brewery last week... poured into a stemless wine glass)

L: brilliantly-clear, pale gold liquid; two finger-high loose foam build on the pour, breaking down quick (previous pours had better head retention)

S: citrus peel, baby powder, fresh cut grass at first whiff, soon giving way to fermenting bread dough... floral, field overtones persist; lovely... overall potency mellow

T: white tea and berry notes first sip, with a lightly-toasty, bready Pils malt and subtle saline in the finish... aftertaste: grassy, lightly bitter with a green-ness overtone... an almost herbal honeydew flavor emerges a few sips in...

F: slight and smooth, light and lifting... soft flare of warmth and weight in the middle, which washes away by the finish... softly resin-drenched, subtly oily texture... latent blush

O: delicious swilled from the can... one of my more favorite pale lagers from Tonewood - it works as a Euro pale, just a noticeably more hopped than my favorite imports (Zywiec, O.K., et al)... I'll be getting more soon, just been on a Pils kick for a month now (2253)

Light straw in color, clear, white head, pretty good retention.

Very bright and vibrant nose; citrus forward, lightly zest like, little bit of doughy bread, unique juicy fruit bubble gum thing going on.

Taste is similar; white bread, zesty pop of orange citruses, shifts towards citrus rind on finish; same juicy fruit gum noted in aroma; chewy hops.

Nice light but full body, maintains a high level of drinkability throughout despite the hoppiness, nice bit of earthy and lightly grassy bitterness on the finish, nicely drying.
