Had on tap. Murky pale yellow body with a white cap. Smell has a cornucopia of fruit: lemon, pineapple, yuzu, orange and a touch of papaya, all on the stage of mild wild tones. Honestly this drinks like a wild table beer, #splitupsaison. Simpler with more emphasis on the lemon and wild nuances, but by the whole pint is over you want more complexity. Part of it is the finishing feel is weak, not a watery edge but close with how mild it is, otherwise a whisper of wild sourness, medium-light bodied and very smooth

Pours a lovely hazy straw color. Enhanced with the swirl of the can before final pour. Smells of flowers. Initial taste is muted citrus, possible wheat esters. Spot on beer, perfect for working in the heat. Excellent example. Recommended

Shorter review for this one, drank yesterday with a friend on tap at tonewood…
Poured light straw color with good clarity, white head that settles quickly, no lacing.
Nose was bright, lightly acidic and reminiscent of lemon like candies; it had a nice pale malt presence that carried some light welcome sweetness, definitely some light funk in the background.
The taste was very refreshing and well balanced, mostly acidic like lemon flavors but also some bubble gum character, the mixed culture showing on the finish in aftertaste.
Light and effervescent, smooth yet zippy and bright; went down very easy but was also a good beer to sip and savor.
Loved this beer; a dual purpose beer, could be drank as a drinking beer but also complex enough to ponder. Tonewood keep doing your thing.

(12 oz can, no date/code, mixed culture saison, can conditioned; purchased cold single two days ago... decanted into a teku)
L: audible sizzling after the can is opened... mildly hazy, straw-yellow liquid, bordering on amber; sparkly head drops out into bubbly collar in little time
S: Orval funk with a touch of plastic diaper... nutty, dried apricot... fairly expressive nuances; moderate intensity... yeasty
T: surprisingly 'beery' up front, adjunct rice? syrup?... not quite vinous, however, a certain golden sultana, earthy-floral overtone dominates... on the palate floor lingers a cereal grainy, almost bran flake note... overall, relatively dry; subtly sweetish nut butter note builds in the aftertaste
F: light-bodied, softly buoyant, with a mild swell midway and a stretched finish... not much in the way of effervescence or shape... ultimately very easy drinking
O: strikes me as a kinda light, funky table beer... not bad... it seems like maybe their house culture is slowly developing (2160)
NOTE: my tally after this review did not go up, still at 2159; only after the review following it did the number rise
