Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England Double / Imperial IPA
Glass: Pure Project 16-oz. snifter glass
Price: $5.29
From: Windmill Farms in San Diego (Del Cerro), Calif.
Purchased: Jan. 6, 2023
Consumed: Jan. 13, 2023
Misc.: Canned on Dec. 7, 2022
Went to Windmill Farms and came away with nine solo cans, and two 6-packs. I gave the first Hopshow a 4.19 on Dec. 24, 2020. Untappd description for this one was “A hazy tropical juice bomb, bursting through with juicy peach and passion fruit. a backend of fresh squeezed grapefruit and a dusting of cannabis brings you back for part 2 of the HOPSHOW.”
Poured a medium golden hazy color with 3-to-4 fingers of white frothy head. Could see just a few bubbles creeping up toward the top of the glass. World-class uneven foamy lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight -
Smelled peach, nectarine, melon, dank weed, grapefruit rind, orange and passion fruit. No mention of the hops involved, but Galaxy is the main culprit. Smelled much better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted about as good as the nose. In order got Galaxy, peach, passion fruit, melon, dank weed, grapefruit rind, orange, viney berry and grass. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Bitter finish. (Feel - 3.75)
This was very good overall but a I was a little disappointed. (Overall - 3.75)

Good NEIPA. More robust than most but, surprisingly with a stronger malty presence than many NEIPAs. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass, this beer featured a hazy gold color and a medium sized foamy white head with good retention. Lots ofwide but thin bands of lacing on the glass. Aroma and taste included a big malty presence and lots of fruit, mostly grapefruit but some tropical fruit as well. Dankness is present also and I finally experienced the "cannabis" taste that is often mentioned with IPA's. Mouthfeel is rich, crisp and somewhat balanced between a strong malyt aspect and moderate bitterness. Whether you label it an Imperial IPA or a NEIPA, this beer offers enough to make you sit up and take notice!!!

Undated can consumed from a tall tulip on 3/13/23. lemon to straw yellow, a little haze, a finger of head that recedes to nearly nothing. A little lacing ( barely any). Not a lot of smell, not much hop flavor, a little stone fruit. Heavy-ish mouthfeel. Very smooth with pretty clean finish. This is not a bad IPA but no way my can meets the expectation for a double-dry hopped hazy. I suspect my can is old. This reminds me of a pale ale with heavier than expected body.

A Tavour Treat. Pours a gold color with a foamy white head that lasts quite a while. Aroma is grapefuit and other citrus fruits. Taste is smooth and creamy with a good deal of hoppy bitterness.

Listed as a "Double Dry Hopped Double Hazy India Pale Ale."
Fairly hazy, straw to gold in color. Fluffy head stands at 3 fingers and slowly recedes to a respectable half inch cap. Solid retention with some nice sticky lacing.
Grassy upfront. A really lush grass. Hints of lemongrass, alfalfa, lemon zest, and wet grain. Yummy nose.
Flavor definitely carries the grassy notes but also brings citrus, hints of peach and apricot.
Feel is medium, good carbonation keeps it lively yet not tingly. Finish is slightly bitter yet bright.
Overall, loving this.
