Golden amber with a very large off-white head that lingers for a few minutes. I can't quite describe the smell. Slightly sweet with a hint of... metal? The taste pretty much continues where the smell leaves off. Only more metallic than sweet. There is something cloying about the smell and the taste - but it's not a cloying sweetness. Again, it's more... metallic and chemical.
I would never have guessed that this was brewed with honey. Nothing about the flavor indicates honey to me. Nor does it work for me as a saison, which is usually something that should be refreshing and drinkable. This brew won't let me take gulps... because the flavor is too off-putting.
I'm not at all familiar with the brewery. But I'm not impressed with this offering.
[UPDATE] Inexplicably, I bought another one of these. I forgot that I had already tried this beer. This time around, the flavor and smell are even worse. I don't know why. But I honestly won't be able to finish this one. Is it a bad batch? Skunked? I just don't know.

OK, so most of the beers from this brewery are meh, so I'm going to treat this like a homebrew.
Notched date, best by a notch on February, but no year, so no idea if it's fresh or old. Thanks for trying. Very low pour on the next, almost 4 fingers between the pour and the cap, tisk tisk. The beer pours out clear, then big thing of sediment tries to come up before I stop it, a big fizzy bubbly head fades very quickly like it doesn't want to be there, very clear honey color.
Nose big Belgian yeast aromas, lots of fruity esters, but also very sweet, candi sugar, sugar syrup, a little honey, biscuity toasted grains, heavy sweet blond malts, flashes of phenols with a little peppery note and spices, some grassy hops. decent characters but too sweet syrupy candy for a saison, more like Belgian trappist or almost tripel.
Taste starts quite sweet again, some honey flavors with big candi sugar, syrupy candy syrup, malt extract, big Belgian sweet blond malts, toasted grain, quickly into big esters, apple pear, hint of banana, all candied versions, a little phenols peppery spices and hot fusel alcohol, way more than it should be for only 7%, again drinks a lot more like a Belgian tripel than a saison, some honey character on the back end, bready doughy yeast character. Finishes a bit drier a little sticky, lots of hot booze and fusel alcohol with some phenols.
Mouth is med to heavier bod, syrupy sticky, overpowering and distracting carbonation, hot tingly booze.
Overall not a very good beer, as usual, they don't really seem to get close to styles. Way too much syrupy sweetness, way way way too much carbonation, too much booze, esters aren't bad but align more with a tripel as well as all the other characters, and for only 7% this drank like 10%.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a tulip glass.
A: The beer is a deep golden brown color with a short off-white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains caramelized malts, honey, wheat, Belgian yeast and a touch of hops.
T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of honey, caramel and some spice. Then some breadiness comes in from wheat, Belgian yeast and a hearty malt character. The hops presence is mild and there is not much balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet and slightly bready.
M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: A little tasty, goes down ok, not too filling, good kick, good representation of style, it’s a decent beer to drink for a while but there are better choices within the style.

This isnt a saison. More of just a belgian ale. Theres tons of honey. High abv. No citrussy profile. Lower co2. And it smells quite awful. Its not a bad beer. Just not a good "saison". Reminds me of some bad PhNtomes.

Poured into a small chalice: color is copper, transparent, head is off white with fine to small bubbles, some lacing the glass.
Smell is honey, then some sweeter undertones, and light phenols - not much pepperiness or dryness.
Taste seems off the mark of a saison - definite frutiness from the honey, and then some strong sweetness which seems odd for a brew that has a high conversion yeast attacking the sugars; some light phenol/ester qualities, not much pepperiness or drying qualities.
Mouthfeel is sweet, not cloying, but not a dry/crisp saison. Lingering honey sweetness is strong.
Overall, not a great saison, lots of honey character but not they dry/attenuated flavor or character of saison.
