For just getting started in the brewing world, Beer Planet (a recently opened store in Brussels) has done pretty well with their first venture into brewing. Tri Color does three things well: it conceals its 8.5 ABV; it has a fruity attack leading to quick refreshment; and its drying hops linger just long enough to make their point.
Like most tripels, Tri Color does not fit well with food. Having a bit of a messy hop blend, try-Color confuses my palate about how it should react and, I assume, food acts the same way. Try-Color somehow lacks an integrated, consistent taste.
That said, going to Beer Planet is worth the journey. I believe they said they are the only store selling their three brews. But Beer Planet is good because it showcases the nano-brewing revolution now sweeping Brussels. I don't recommend Tri-Color, but I do recommend Beer Planet.
