Bought from the micro's taproom. It was one of the few 32 ouncers I've had in the last few years. But it was worth breaking the routine. This also was my first from Mighty Pine. So I went on their website and was impressed by this 5 month old with a website that would be good for a five year old. Might Pine's story is somewhat common: wife and husband leave their jobs and follow their passion of brewing. One key difference here is the quality, particularly in the darks... particularly since malty brews are harder for youngsters to make and Mighty Pine did this extremely well for their age: evidence, the four dark brews in my flight and this Camber bought at the taproom. Because of the convivial experience of the taproom, sitting across from the tanks and talking with the owner and bringing fresh dark brews to an isolated small city in evergreen paradise, I give Mighty Pine very good Overall Hugs.
As for Camber, Looks (pretty, but not foamy) and Smells (mostly malt) are only slightly above average. Tastes are sweet initially, but in mid-palate become well-balanced and the finish even leaves some hop permanence. The yeast probably prevent Camber from being medium-mouthed; but is soft because I drank this 32 ounces with a mild Indian dish and they worked fine together as sweet malt is always preferred to hopped-up malt when eating flavourful food.

I had this beer on-tap at the brewery in an old-school Pilsner glass.
Appearance: medium cipher hue with a clear body and a thin layer of ivory foam.
Smell: malty aroma with a bit of graininess and perhaps just a little hint of corn aroma.
Taste: nice malt character that’s a little toasty and a little biscuity, with a crisp but not overbearing hop bite at the end. It’s quite good.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a really crisp and refreshing lager with just that little bit of malt complexity compared to, say, a Pilsner. Super drinkable!
