Brewed for Barrel & Flow Fest 2021

A Collaboration between Troegs Brewing Company, Mack Brewing Company, and Harris family Brewery. Artwork by Tristan Bond (@bond_of_art).

This right here is an Imperial Pilsner crafted by a Pennsylvania community with big dreams. Two breweries-in-planning. A third brewery built by family and friends. A Harrisburg artist who lives by the words "Be vibrant." And a game-changing festival with global aspirations. We taste crisp notes of biscuit and fresh-baked bread with pops of citrusy hops. "Through the barrel flows creativity," says Barrel & Flow's Day Bracey. "It's kinda dope."

Cloudy dark gold with a full white head and amazing lacing. Big citrus and dry hops lead both the smell and taste. In the nose get slight floral tones with white bread and sweeter lager malt. Taste has faint cantaloupe in with the hops and the malt sweetness expands with pale yeast and bread. Feel is pale, hoppy for style, light but not thin. Reminds me of some of the DH Jack's Abby lagers

Crystal clear golden body; nice, slow-rising carbonation; very thick head, dense and creamy with outstanding sculpted looks. Beautiful aroma; honey dew melon and light berry notes; mild sweetness; cereal grains. Sweet taste initially; fairly strong bitterness develops midway through each sip and lingers long into the finish; biscuit. Medium body; moderate residual sugar feel; slight alcohol dryness.

Overall, this dry-hopped pilsner is a great looker with good flavor. It's a bold one yet quite pleasant to sip, one of the better imperial pilsners I've had.

Solid dry hopped pilsner not very grainy smooth alcohol is detected but not cloying. Great lace clear bright yellow color. Might pick up a four pack of pounders if the price is right!

16oz can from Tavour. Pale golden, clear, foamy white head. Full bready aroma, light citrus notes. Taste brings the booze, ABV is apparent, bready, grainy. Really strong. And great.

16oz can into a pint glass. 2021 release for Barrel & Flow Festival.

Looks outstanding in the glass. Pale golden yellow body. Decent bright white head persists in good form throughout, impressive given the abv. Rings of lacing early on.

Sweet malty aroma with the barest spice hint.

On tasting, strong, but not 10.4 strong. Quite sweet, with just enough dry hopping to cut that. Hoppy, a bit of warmth.

Mouth closer to full than medium, finish sweet with a wrapper of dry hopping.

Overall, really enjoyed this beer, and it's balancing act. Very drinkable, which could be dangerous. Thinking that over time, if the dry hopping fades, could become a sugar bomb. Even so, as far as I'm concerned, Troegs can put this collaboration out any time.
