This brand new House Hazy – hopped with Citra and Mosaic – has a lot going for it. It’s juicy. Super fruity. And silky smooth. Toward the end of fermentation, we hit snooze on the London 3 yeast to maintain fresh notes of nectarine, stone fruit and bubblegum. So keep this can cold and drink it fresh. You’ll be glad you did.

(16 oz can, '440 Hazy IPA - House Hazy', freshest by 12/02/2021; gifted a cold can... poured into a fat tulip)
L: lots of silky foam; hazy murk from the get go; sunrise yellow-amber liquid... a couple of nice thick lace rings; messy, broken cap maintains throughout
S: pine shoots, lemon candy/jelly, mango rind (more prominent as it settles and the sinuses acclimate)... faint tonic alcohol highlight... the fruit is almost tangible; excellent overall intensity
T: mango heavy; mild underlying granola malt sweetness, lemon candle... flash of pithy bitterness before midpoint, sharpened by 'acidic' carbonation ping... the alcohol seems to be sweetening and electrifying the fringes of the fruity flavors... mildly spicy (eau de vie) burp
F: not pillowy soft, but sort of like drinking thick fog... the alcohol doesn't warm, but it seems to delicately sting the back of the palate; it might also give a lift sensation along the palate floor, or they just engineered this for a dry levity... little residual film on the palate - strange... taut, streamlined, ideal
O: heck, I'm not a huge fan hazy, but when it's done well and kept well, ooh baby... maybe the most mango-y non-mangoed beer in memory... the 'nectarine' flavor they suggest comes across more peach, but so what... make this a regular and I might actually buy a hazy 4-pack for the first time (1807)
