A hazy golden-orange body reveals streams of tiny bubbles rising steadily towards its short head of bright white foam. The retention is somewhat limited, and it drops to a thin but creamy collar after the first few sips, yet somehow retains the ability to leave some very nice lace about the glass. The nose displays a sweetish malt that's drizzled with orange and dusted with light spice. The body is medium and it's zesty carbonation gives a light tingle to the tongue. In the flavor, delicately tart orange and lemon dominate over a lightly sweet and wheat-ish malt. The spiciness is very subtle, and appears more in the mildly chalky, dry finish - although it does develop somewhat in the mouth as you progress through the glass. Very nice! An excellent summer beer to enjoy while dining on their outdoor deck overlooking the river as the sun goes down. This would be an excellent accompaniment to a Balsamic vinagriette salad, or their sweet and spicy honey-glazed chicken wings. Quite refreshing!
