Stopped in to use up a gift card. Arrived in a standard shaker glass. Appeared a clear bright straw yellow color with about a finger of quickly fading bone white head. Nose and flavor are of mild toasted wheat and cereal grains, light tart peach notes, hints of citrus, mainly lemon and a touch of malt at the end. Medium in both body and carbonation. A pretty ordinary fruit beer, but a decent warm weather drink.

The Manayunk Brewery currently (July 2008) has two fruit beer offerings. The Schuylkill Punch is a raspberry lager that tastes more like Fruit Punch that it does beer so I thought I would try the Peach Wheat since it was something out of the norm (at least for me). Normally these fruit lagers look like a Coors Light with some type of fruit flavoring. This one had a nice wheaty mist to it and the beer had body. The peach scent was a little overpowering. It was good to drink except at times the Peach flavor was so strong that it almost tasted soapy. I would try this beer again if given the opportunity.
