This beer made me rethink what I liked in a beer. This is a beer that took me a few different tasting times to appreciate fully. I guess getting used to the extremely hopped beers that are most common the last 10 or20 years, I thought that a lager was under flavored. But when I took the time to really enjoy this beer, and have it before anything else, I came to appreciate the balance of flavors, none of them overpowering, which combine to make this an understated great beer. No overpowering citrus hops that overwhelm any other flavors; just a nice well balanced lager, No overpowering flavors; just an enjoyable beer with nice aroma, flavor, finish, and no off tastes. I also greatly appreciate beers on the lower end of alcohol % spectrum (this one is 4.8%) that I can say are still flavorful. Nothing overpowering- just a great lager. And if you ever get to the brewery, get a spent grain pretzel (barley residual after beer making made into a flour used to make soft pretzels). They go great with any beer.

Nice clear golden color with white cap.
Scent of rich malt with floral hops.
Taste on entry is malty but not too sweet. Hop bitterness if firm enough but not as high as I'm accustomed to with European Pilsners. Clean finish and just a bit of hop bite in the aftertaste.
Medium texture with balancing carbonation.
Brewer labels this as a Pilsner yet for me it's more a Vienna or amber lager. No matter, it tastes good, it's free of flaws and it does it's yeoman work with aplomb.
