Shibuya, Tokyo's and the world's second largest train station, deserves its own brewery. The station has several food courts, but this is its newest one. Food Met has some 14 shops, several pour liquor; but this is the only brewery. See my Place Review for more and to explain why I give good Overall Hugs.
Yokohama Lager would be a good lunch lager. (I drank it mid-afternoon on a hot, humid July day.) It Looks average in the glass, an OK foam for a tap pour; not much lace. Smells are slightly sweet with a bit of floral/herbal, but I long for more. Balanced Tastes with hops entering mid-palate and modestly lingering. Classic German pils. Crisp finish. Almost medium-mouthed.
I imagine Yokohama Lager would pair decently with any one of the 14 kitchens in this Food & Beer Hall.
