Copenhagen 13/5 2022. 75 cl bottle from Mikkeller web-shop. Drawing of an old tree standing in front of a cultivated landscape with corn fields and a setting sun.

Pours unclear, golden yellow with a small white head. Stable. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.

Aroma is intense with sweet malty odor mingling with a tart and sour scent. Funky touch. Sweet pale malts, citrus and lemon. Gooseberries ad a touch of sweet peach. Sour cheese and horse blanket.

Low carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, almost flat texture.

Flavor is intense with a light sweetness followed by a stronger tart sourness. Aftertaste is tartly sour with a light sweet undertone. Lingers for while. Dry finish.

A tight and dry Saison with a light touch of funk. Intense with tart charm - but a bit on the flat side.

I've tried a fair number of saisons this summer. Some are among the best beers I've had, some were downright awful. Creature Comfort's Arcadiana is much closer to the former. It was a nice golden straw color and the smell of lemon and grass was very potent. The taste reflected the smell perfectly and it washed down with a crisp, dry finish. This is the easy-drinking saison that perfectly fits a hot summer day. Is it raising the bar, changing how I think about the style? No, but its superb execution makes this a very tasty beer. I wish this wasn't a limited release.

32 oz crowler shared in Atlanta.
Very pale and light golden with a thin but fairly durable head.
Light to moderate tartness and fruitiness, with very little funk. Even the aroma is relatively appealing for style.
The aftertaste is a bit too bitter.

This one was probably my least favorite while visiting the brewery, but was still a fine beer. It poured the most interesting of all, it was opaque and almost orange in color. It looked as if there were tons of sediment in the pour but it was solid. Very interesting. Smell was of faint flowers and grass, and with saison hops. Taste was plain, slightly sweet, but just an average saison. the mouthfeel was creamy but light, but much thicker than most saisons. Eh, you can't win em' all... interesting taste.
