For three reasons, I'm very glad I tried this rice lager from this promising nano.
First of all, the nano's theme involves tennis (which I played regularly until my body gave out.)
Second, Match Point's taproom is on San Pablo Avenue in a rapidly developing area served by BART and AC Transit. (Get there by polluting less.
Third, there is collaboration between Match Point's taproom and its contract brewer, Epidemic Ales. This startups need now.
Jasmine Rice only Looks slightly above the average for this style; it could benefit from a more lively yeast. Smells tell me this is a rice lager, pleasant and unassuming. Tastes are balanced, though not distinct. Almost medium-mouthed in this light style. Jasmine was suitable pairing with the Vietnamese food I just ate that involved rice. Who could ask for more?
I give good Overall Hugs to Match Point and I hope to visit them soon or early next year. Kanpai (Cheers in Japanese) or từ tiếng anh (Vietnamese.)
