A pleasant tart.
Purchased this magnum at Hop Burns & Black.
Pours a pretty pale into my tulip, nice foam dissipates quickly; but that is the nature of the yeast and barrel.
Smells lead with lemon; but the barrel I barely pickup as anything more than musty. Tastes are well-balanced from attack to finish; nothing pushy, well-controlled tart. I taste the tea. Grisettes typically quench as much with bubbles as 4 ingredients; but Karoo Gold less so. Suitably paired with cheeses and perfect with a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch.
I give excellent Overall Hugs to Scatterlings not because they are so accomplished at a young age, but because mostly they are the first UK nano I've found that is earnestly keeping the grisette alive. (Mostly, it has been New England micros keeping this Belgian style alive.) So..... A Sante' and Cheers !
