edited (for hyperbole) from the label--
"This unfiltered saison blends tradition with creativity in a celebration of nature's bounty. Made with Hourani wheat, Thai sticky rice, hops from the Alsace region and California kumquats, this result is an intricate dance of citrus and spice culminating in a dry finish. Discover new horizons."

I put Indochine to the toughest test: I drank it side-by-side with my most favourite saison. Not even a fair fight.
(My saison favourite is Apex Predator with 108 repeats on UnTappd, next is Dupont at 73 to give you an idea of how unfair a fight this is for Sugoi as a novice.) And Indochine did more than live to fight for another day in a shrinking market. In Truth, I want Indochine again as soon as I can get it.
While Indochine has Looks barely above average (needs a more active foam on that pretty amber bod), Smells are full of fruit (probably California kumquats as advertised, but basically tiny tart oranges.) Tastes are at first sweet, but increasingly tart and I will attribute this to the skin of the kumquat. Balanced. Medium-mouthed despite the sub-par saison yeast.
Excellent quencher and paired well with appetisers as I was preparing dinner. Not as good with dinner which was shared with Apex... who knows how to pair with most foods. But Indochine can learn.
Indochine has one of the more thoughtful and beautiful labels combined that I've seen in a long time. So I give Sugoi very good Overall Hugs for that and what seems their motivation. Unfortunately, I can't get more info than the label: they only have a landing page for a website (get a real one) and to learn more I have to join Instagram (which I oppose being bullied by Big Tech monopolies.) So until Sugoi gets a website, I say Cheers in whatever Pan-Asian languages you choose.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
