Appearance: Poured with a finger worth of head that retained exceptionally well but left minimal lacing. The body is a cloudy amber filled with sandy particulate.
Smell: Mild caramel malt with mild fruity yeast notes that has notes of berries and apricot. It's great, but sadly even with extensive warming the potency just isn't there.
Taste: Starts with mild caramel before the berry and apricot notes of the yeast come forward and quiet down as some mild pine hops round things out. It's simple and mild, but done very well.
Mouthfeel: Transistioning is solid, but again the beer is on the mild side so it's not a long journey. The carbonation is low, but stays for the entire beer and works well with it. Aftertaste is a nice mild mix of the entire beer.
Drinkability: Very easy to drink, simple but not over done wish ESBs can suffer from. Medium body and settles down very well.
Final Thoughts: A solid ESB, perhaps a little bit safe in terms of a brew, as it wasn't quite a wide range of notes but more often then not, that works, and it certainly does here. Thumbs Up.
