Picked up a single on 4-20-19 from the Sedona Safeway as part of the mixed sixer for $11.99. No freshness dating; consumed on 4-20-19.
Beer poured golden with an okay white head that dissipated quickly.
Nose is slightly off, muted citrus hops that do not come off as overly fresh.
Taste is a lighter pale malt baseline with a moderate amount of citrus hops. Finishes with a hint of bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and more heavy than refreshing.
Overall not a bad beer but one that likely has a hard time competing in the wide world of good to great IPA's. But since we are staying in Sedona i felt compelled to try one of the OCBC brews. Likely better on tap as i am not sure how old this is.

12 oz. bottle:
Pours orange amber with a creamy white head. Trailing lace sticks.
The smell is of orange marmalade and caramel.
There is a hop presence, but also a strong malt presence. Plenty of light toasted caramel almost overwhelms the hops. There is a light smoky character. Some pineapple in the finish.
It has a creamy body.
A more balanced IPA. It reminds me of an old-school Am. IPA. Decent, but nothing particularly special, IMO.

This IPA pours a really nice deep orange color, with a small white head and some nice lace retention
The aromas are nice, with a good balance of citrus and malt, with even some roasty hints of coffee.
Honestly this is a great IPA. Very drinkable. More citrus but it’s subdued, with lots of piney bitterness and bready malt.
A very smooth, medium bodied beer. A little chewy, but has almost a buttery quality to it that works well. Slightly sticky finish.

L - golden orange. Like a fading sunset. Suspended bubbles.
S - bright juicy citrus a la mandarin oranges. Some sweet bubblegum and pine.
T - malt backbone. Sweet hop oily buttery taste. Mellow citrus.
F - smooth and creamy. Low carbonation. Accentuates the buttery sensation.
O - solid ipa. Maybe a little too much malt, but there is still bitterness. Appeals to more of a malt head kinda drinker.
