Clear pale yellow with a tall fizzy head. Full-on lemon juice nose. Inviting. Light body, lemony and a little sweetness. A nice light drink.

Bright clear golden yellow, no head, no lace. Lemony nose. Sweet up front, lemony without being too sharp. Full sweet mouthfeel. A tad too sweet, not quite beery enough. Candy beer.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated May 8 2020 and served well chilled.
Pours crystal clear and pale yellow, topped with nearly a finger of soapy, sparkling white foam that dissipates within the next minute or two. A modest-sized collar is left encircling a few filmy wisps upon the surface, with a few sparse strands of lace flung about; looks alright. The nose is muted and not very interesting - the lemon juice is subtle while also being the most noticeable element; hints of sugary lemonade and a very faint hint of grainy malts round out the aroma. Smells like a shandy, I suppose - plain, but at least this one smells clean and not too sweet.
A pretty good shandy IMO - they've used both sugar and grape concentrate here, presumably for backsweetening, and they impart a fairly pleasant, slightly juicy sweetness that interacts nicely with the lemon flavouring. The underlying lager itself is not much of a factor here - you might catch a quick hint of grainy malts towards the finish, but it's easily brushed aside by the lemon flavour and sugars, which remain dominant throughout the entirety of the sip. Light in body, with assertive carbonation and a prickly, crisp mouthfeel; sure to hit the spot on a muggy evening or sweltering afternoon.
Final Grade: 3.52, a B grade. As far as lemon-flavoured shandies/radlers go, I think Steam Whistle's Lemon Shandy is one of the better examples I've tried over the years: the lemon flavouring is spot on in terms of intensity, without coming off as artificial or 'fake' in the least... and that's in spite of the fact that the word 'lemon' doesn't actually appear in the ingredients list at all. No, this is not exactly exciting or memorable, but if you're looking for a beer that's light, crisp and refreshing with a twist of lemon and sugar, then don't hesitate to stick one in your backpack, duffel or golf bag this summer - and then pull it back out whenever your thirst is most in need of quenching.

Pours yellowish gold with a bright white bubbly head. The smell is biscuity and lemony. The taste is a sweet candy lemon juicy flavour. Not bitter lemon. This is a fantastic shandy if you’re into that. In the summertime, I am.
