Lot 11 06 22 - best before end 2026 - enjoyed July 6th, 2024 - poured from a capped-and-corked 750mL bottle into my Unibroue tulip.

Slightly cloudy apple green body with a low honeydew cap. Fine delicate lacing, average retention.

Potent herbaceous aromatics suggest standing behind a wood chipper being fed by tropical trees. Eucalyptus, mint, shoe-box, lemon balm, dry cured olives, citrus pith...

Taste follows the nose. Goose barnacles, menthol, mild bitterness. Grassy medium-dry finish with faintly peppery yeast notes (which goes well with the vague but persistent salinity).

Medium-light bodied, well carbonated, and crisp yet smooth.

Incredibly strange even by this brewery's standards - makes a mockery of style guidelines, and has almost as much in common with mouthwash as it does ale. And yet, weirdly satisfying and refreshing!

jesus they put spinach in a beer. wife snagged this at the beer temple out of sheer curiosity so now i get to sneak a few sips! love it.
came out a very nostalgic green apple jolly rancher, a lil fuzzy to see through. a sudsy white foam grew up on top, with little bits of lacing following behind as it all settled into a broken white cap.
the nose is a surprisingly nice mix of clove, allspice, the fun end of a menthol cig, super funky yeast and black pepper. its like it wants to be a saison but got spilled into some line cooks salad and im not even mad about it.
the taste has similar notes but lays a bit heavier into the funk and spinach and kinda loses the beer focus. theres a lot of pepperiness and a lingering funk but not the kind I like.
its fairly light, nicely carbonated and if the aftertaste was a bit less... weird?? it would actually be a solid brew. a fun lil experience i'd say!
