Served in a tumbler at Firkin.
Kicking off Solidarity with a special pumpkin lager from Lakefront brewed with Madagascar vanilla beans that apparently makes the rounds every one in a while. It pours a clear brass-amber topped by a half-finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises cinnamon, apple cider, and, frankly, pumpkin pie, complete with crust. The taste focuses on the pie spices (brown sugar, cinnamon, clove, allspice, etc), but some pumpkin shell and random fruit rinds find their ways in as well. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a sorta/kinda drying finish. Overall, an enjoyable pumpkin beer, one I wish would show up more often than it does.
