This beer wont get a fair review from me because I have yet to find fruit-beers, except for exceptional pumpkins, to be my tea. Too sweet, too masking of great core flavors. I feel same way about coffee and tea.
However, this one surprised me with its complexity and craft, so it's ok.

12 oz bottle poured into a CARTON tulip.

A - Golden, apricot, cloudy Belgian-style body generates too little head. Like my Belgians and ales to have more dense head and lacing.

S - Outstanding aroma. Dried apricots and Belgian yeast get better as it warms. Also complexity with spice, lemongrass, white pepper and earthy mineral esters. Refreshing and inviting. Either an apertif or after dinner but not a with dinner beer.

T - The taste doesnt live up to the arroma. Lots of complexity but too overladen with the apricot puree which masks all the qualities I love in a belgian ale. Over done apricots dont give way to the spice, white pepper, yeast, and mineral flavors I seek. Finishs with that phony fruit taste so many fruit beer have. Think about it fermented fruit - gotta get it right or it's cloying or annoying.

M - Heavy carbonation, decent body, good tingle. I'd like more sharpness and a drier finish.

O - Belgian indeed, the yeast is interesting and a noble effort. But over-done apricot and too sweet. I will let it warm and finish as last beer of evening. Might make a good black and tan.
