new in the mix pack, i think this one is pretty good. the label has the date 3-7-77 on it, which i have no idea the significance. the beer is sold, sturdy for a pale golden lager, good body to it, not quite all the way dry and crisp, plain to some extent, but well drinkable and it checks all the boxes. i like the simple nature of it, a little richer in malt than many with a honey note and some pale barley weight, but the lager yeast does a nice job cleaning it up, not perfectly refreshing, but a session beer nevertheless. a lightly toasted note to it, a baked element even, and a lager yeast with some flavor, almost english tasting to me, but it works. good carbonation, light bittering hops at the end is all, and a good rush of carbonation on each sip to keep it moving and breezy. its been awhile since i have had anything new from these guys, i think the lack of innovation has hurt them, but this is pretty solid, and while a simple lager like this isnt going to put them back on the map, its a nice edition to the mix box and its is good to have a new one from them!
