Consumed at the Heartland Brewery Chophouse on 43rd in Times Square:
A chalk-gray and amber liquid topped with a curd of bone-gray. The aromas are spicy and fruity of overripe apples, pineapple, pepper and holiday sauces. In the mouth it is creamy and laden with fruit and spice essences along with notes of concrete and minerals. There is a bitter kick of root veggies on the finish that brings it to a quick, dry conclusion.
Bottom line: mulled apple cider-infused cream with a dash of herb tonic. Pretty good.
