Got this and way too many beers on a recent trip to Windmill Farms. Vague Untappd description read “A fruited stout with notes of black and sweet cherry with dark chocolate. Light yet smooth and creamy.” I’m kind of a sucker for chocolate cherry stouts, so I think I’ll like this.
Poured a pitch-black color with three fingers of khaki-tan frothy head. Could see a few bubbles creeping up along the sides of the glass. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled milk chocolate, chocolate syrup, black cherry, dark malt chocolate, vanilla, black cherry milkshake and hints of raspberry. About as good from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted about as good as the nose. In order got chocolate syrup, black cherry, dark malt chocolate, vanilla, black cherry milkshake and black raspberry. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium-to-full body. Creamy-to-sticky texture. Average carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was excellent. Just as good as I hoped it would be. (Overall - 4.25)
