A crisp tart fruit beer brewed with pear juice. Unique honey chardonnay wine characteristics are derived from the combination of Nelson Sauvin, and European hops with flaked rice for a light refreshing finish.

Tadter at brewery. Seems like a cross between a lager and a perry. Nice pear aroma and taste. Pale golden, small ring of head. Light, fruity and refreshing.

this is wildly ambitious and enormously well executed, hands down the best beer i have had from these guys, and also seemingly way out of left field from a brewery i know for doing the basics and not much else, makes me wonder what else i have been missing here! this is crazy, a simple rice based golden brew as the base, perhaps a lager even, done with pear juice and nelson hops, like nothing i have ever had before, and presenting almost like a pear cider, even a green apple cider, there is a tartness to this i really like, but the whole thing is so complex but also just so darn drinkable, i loved it. the lightest of pours here, looks almost like white wine in the glass but with a good inch of white head on it. the nose is green pear for sure, sweet and ripe and floral, with hints of elderflower, key lime, granny smith, and lemongrass in the mix, the nelson hops are obvious, i get subtle vanilla and also bread yeast, could be lager yeast, but this is all so fruity and estery that the ferment is a little obscured, clean for sure though, and insanely light, no grain at all. no real malt in the taste either, but it doesnt feel watery, light as it is, the tang helps extend it and the carbonation is awesome, so the feel is right on for these flavors and i dont miss more malt. green apple and pear everywhere, incredibly compatible with the nelson hops, which are boldly dosed to me and hit on kiwi fruit, green melon, and gooseberry notes, they seem accentuated by the fruity tang too. i also get champagne and white wine, minerals, floral honey, and some noble hop bitterness at the end, lime leaf, and slate. so good, so light, so alive, so different. elite beer totally out of the blue, dont miss this one!

A nice surprise. Very light and fruity, like sparkling white grape juice. Would easily get a growler of this to go.
