Like it. I would've liked Enghien to be a normal blond so I could have it with tonight's pasta. But for that, Enghien is a bit too strong, possibly too hoppy and possibly the yeast packs too much of a pepper punch.
Double Enghien Looks like a Blond I want to have, generous foam and active protein swirls. But that energy gets muted as I drink more; and really so do the Smells of fruit and yeast. Tastes are almost balanced, but there is a slight cloying in my after-taste, possibly the hops possibly the Peppa. Medium-mouthed, full enough in a full style.
I give very good Overall Hugs to Silly whose owner gave Podge's busload a tour that I had the pleasure to experience a month ago. Silly is a small Belgian Family Brewer, but are keeping at it with a renovation of the family's 19th Century brewhouse and plant. Silly also has that French sensibility for the Saison. Next time, I'll have one with my meal. A Sante' !

Golden color with white head, aroma of fruits, yeast and butter, light sweetness, medium bitterness, ok.

Appearance: Pale amber, like ginger ale; effervescent; frothy medium head, long lasting; good lacing
Aroma: Malty; slight apple aroma; butterscotch; light hops
Taste: Very creamy and malty on start; some butterscotch flavor; sweet and somewhat syrupy, but a little thin; finishes sweet and tasty with alcohol finish; pretty good, but not complex
Remarks: Did not score A, T, S, M at that time; disregard those scores

A: The color is clear pale golden while the white creamy head is very tall at first. Decent lacings.
S: Very malty. Nettles, hay and stable. Yeast and spices. Nothing special.
T: Sweet malt, rich and almost creamy. Nettles are still present but very held back compared to the smell. Yeast and spiecs. Red berries and citric fruits.
M: Smooth and rich full body, with carbonation held to a minimum. Aftertaste is sweet. Some warmth from the alcohol.
O: Nice. Like a lighter version of the heavier BSPA:s. The missing link between BSPA and BPA.

Poured from 330mL bottle into a tulip.
Appearance: light golden hue with a little bit of haze. Head is two fingers of frothy white foam which seems to dissipate somewhat quickly.
Smell: light malt with a nice lemongrass note. There's some sweet caramel and some tart apple in there too. In all, it smells bright, light and agricultural -- if not particularly BSPA-like.
Taste: this beer tastes very strongly of light brown sugar. I mean, brown sugar in a glass. If you like brown sugar with a little bit of apple and malt and lemongrass mixed in, this is absolutely the beer for you. Me, I don't mind it so much, but it does seem a little over the top.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good feel and a good level of carbonation and concomitant creaminess. Good stuff.
Overall: this is an interesting beer. Definitely what I'd call a dessert beer; it simply straight-up tastes of brown sugar.
