My first bottle out of the Silly sampler box of nine that I bought while participating in a tour organised by Podge's. We had Silly's CEO as our guide and plenty of samples in their tasting room. An all round good experience.

Blanche de Silly is a good table wit as it is mild and lets the food participate in the meal. Blanche Looks like a good wit, big enough foam that laces the glass. Smells are fruity-orangey, but only slightly above the average as many in the style use pungent stuff like coriander. Tastes are balanced; nothing stands out so the food (my world famous veggie stew) can do its work. Almost Medium-mouthed in a style softened by wheat.

The very good Overall Hugs I give is for Silly for their many generations as a Belgian Family Brewer and what I hope is a successful renovation of their 19th Century facility. A Sante' !

Blonde-orange, lightly veiled. White, good foam.
In the smell wheat, sharp, with acidulated notes, Then orange and coriander.
Quite citric taste, almost lime. Pleasant, but quite peculiar. Coriander and orange (Sweet?).
Refreshing, drinkable, like a blanche has to be.
Not bad.
