Tap at the pub.

Very light fizzy head clear orange golden color.

Nose lemony fruit, light spices, light farmhouse malts, touch of grassy malts.

Taste light saison malts and yeast, light spices, bit of citrus lemon and zest, grassy hops, dry, light bready malts. Finishes quite dry and lingering spices, lemon zest, and light malts.

Mouth is lighter bodied, good carb.

Overall decent, very average and nothing special, most of the flavors are dulled and it doesn't seem to really drive to do anything special, but decent tasting and drinkable.

Not sure exactly about the ABV on this one as I neglected to write it down. A kind of middle of the road saison that's easy to drink and isn't too big on flavor, very sessionable I suppose. A light amber color with a decent cap of white head and nice lacing that clings in creamy sheets to the side of the glass...once again the VPB excels in the appearance of their beers. Aromas are mild, with a little sour funkiness noted, and the taste follows suit. Appealing but light barnyard funk, nice sourness falling short of puckering, some yeasty fruit notes, and a bit of black pepper spice. Finishes clean and fairly short and dry. Mouthfeel is soft and a bit creamy with low carbonation. Could be a little bit more spritzy for my taste. Not bad although not exceptional either.
