On-tap @ the brewpub. Served in a tulip.

Apricot opaque body with a thick ivory finger of soft peaks. Rich pasty lacing adheres forever. Average retention.

Biscuity yeast with a surprising floral character in the nose.

Pleasing spicy/fruity complexity from the yeast, but with an emphasis on fresh rather than funky flavors. Noble hops? Pale malt, winter fruit, and honeysuckle (?) lead into a medium-dry finish.

Medium-light bodied, effervescent, and pillowy.

Supremely drinkable, this one lacks some complexity but there is a subtle quality to it such that I find myself craving more a few days later - wish I'd brought home a growler!

On tap at the brewpub. Pale gold in color, slightly hazy. The small white cap retains well. The aroma is bready and grainy with a spicy Belgian yeast profile. Mild spicy/herbal hops are noticeable beneath the yeast and malt. It has a dry honey-like flavor backed by light bready malts, phenolic/spicy yeast, and subtle herbal hops. Light in body, easy to drink but not particularly outstanding in any way. Good, but I prefer Redemption.

Source/Serving: Draft (5.8% ABV, 23 IBU)

Smell: Bready and rye grains with faint juicy orange. Fresh lillies in a field. Ripe banana and spices that emerge as it warms.

Taste: Sweet, spicy, tart, and very grainy. Nice!

Fizzy carbonation lightens up a slightly citrusy, toasted biscuit with a caramel edge and underlying earthy foundation. The middle gets even grainier with bread, toast, and biscuit notes along with a rich sets of spicy phenolics and yeastiness. Faint underlying citrus comes through as it warms. The finish dries out a little bit and is quite spicy and floral.

On tap at the brewpub. Orange colour with a white head and spider webs of lace. Funky aromas. Grapefruit and malty. Belgian pale ale, that was like an APA with yeast. It was on the Belgian side of the board, and reported to me by the bartenders as a Belgian pale.Above average mouthfeel and drinkability, very good for a Belgian pale and totally not an APA.
