This American light bodied lager starts with a very slight whole grain flavor reminiscent of whole grain bread, which gives way to an effervescent and citrusy yeast ester character. It’s finish is clean with a slightly spicy German hop bitterness on the back of the tongue. Pair this lager with fresh greens, seafoods, and of course our Maryland crab cakes.

Another mediocre offering by Barley and Hops. One of our party who used to drink Bud Light instantly remarked, "tastes just like Bud Light!" but unfortunately Bud Light is better.

A= very pale, lacking much character.

S= faint

T= watery, tastes like it was not quite done brewing, unbalanced as far as any little character that it might have. Take a Bud Light and water it down and you might still have a better brew in hand.

M= watery, with stale remnants, like drinking the rinse water from a stein or glass that you're rinsing.

D= stick with the free water.

Pours straw yellow with plenty of clarity. A thin white head slowly dissippates. Very much a typical/standard macro (light) look.

The smell is completely inoffensive - because there's virtually nothing going on. Maybe a hint of grain? At most. Can't smell bad if it doesn't smell, I suppose.

The taste is some mild grainy sweetness. Seltzery with an abrupt, crisp finish. No detractors at least.

Well, this one tries hard to replicate an American (light?) macro lager...And it succeeds in mediocricy. It's listed as an AML - don't know if adjuncts were used to lighten the body - wouldn't be surprized. Fine for convincing a friend who only drinks light macros to join you at a brewpub. It's greatest attribute is that it is very, very clean, making it decent enough per style.
