Stopped into the brewpub on 11AUG18 with Alewife for lunch, enroute to Waterbury....
Led off with a pint of Lightning.
Shaker pint held a hazy golden, opaque bier. Carbo was steady, and the head was a creamy, fine, thin layer of white suds. Lacing was pretty decent. Had a rindy nose with some sweeter citrus, though it was mild overall. Body and feel were both medium.
Hada touch of crackery malt, and a light hint of sweetness. Semi-sweet citrus, like apricot and tangerine, was present. Towards the finish it turned a bit more resiny, piney and bitter. A nice bier, all-in-all. Prosit!
