Schnozzleberry Griffin is a magenta colored American Wheat Ale, made with Oolong tea and blackberries. The rich, berry filled aroma overshadows the soft, flour-like contributions of the malted wheat. The crisp, tart, fruity flavors create a pleasantly sour and slightly tangy mouthfeel that leads into a lightly acidic, and semi-dry finish.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 6/27/2018. Pours slightly hazy deep reddish orange/copper color with a 1 finger dense and rocky light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lightly tart/tangy blackberries, fruit skin/seed, black/green tea, lemon, peach, plum, pear, red apple, red grape/wine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light toast/peppercorn, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of blackberries, tea, fruity yeast, and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lightly tart/tangy blackberries, fruit skin/seed, black/green tea, lemon, peach, plum, pear, red apple, red grape/wine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light toast/peppercorn, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of lightly tart/tangy blackberries, fruit skin/seed, black/green tea, lemon, peach, plum, pear, red apple, red grape/wine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, peppercorn, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of blackberries, tea, fruity yeast, and bready malt flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and tart/tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/acidic/tangy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very good fruit/spiced beer. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of blackberries, tea, fruity yeast, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and pretty refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/tart/tangy/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Feels like an English mild base style. Well balanced juicy blackberries, earthy tea, fruity yeast, and pale/wheat malts. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.

Very nice wheat ale. Pours a garnet color with two fingers of pink foam. Aromas of blackberry and wheat base. Flavor is blackberries upfront with an Oolong finish. Refreshing on hot day.

It's time for a Short Short's Review. This was a nice beer, it was pretty fruity with some nice berry flavors and the tea showed up just enough, It was a very drinkable beer and I would like to Short's bottle it for the summer.
