Short’s Vintage Premium Lager is the perfect replica of today’s mainstream American Pale Lagers, complete with a wort that’s 50% blended rice syrup and hot water. A small amount of 2 row malted barley contributes to its bright yellow color and delicate malt flavors. Crystal clear and boldly effervescent, this beer has yeast aromas that lead into flavors of lightly toasted white bread with a very low residual sweetness. The super light body aids in the ultimate refreshment providing a thirst quenching finish that’s super crisp and clean.

Served on tap at the pub. Golden yellow in color with a thin collar of foam. Aroma is mostly grains, with some grassy notes. Flavor is more grains, rice adjunct, floral/grassy/peppery hop notes. A good example of a micro take on a BMC mower beer.

12 fl. oz bottle
Served in a pokal glass
L - It is straw colored with a slight haze. It has an inch of white head on top.
S - I get a sour grain smell.
T - The taste starts out with sweet grain flavors. Then a metallic bitterness intercedes. The finish is clean with hints of floral hops.
M - Moderate
O - It reminds me of the rust belt brews that still remain. This beer is a good tribute to the regional lagers of yore. I could quaff several of these while watching sports, at a dive bar, or doing chores around the house.

Yellow body with a quarter inch of white head. Aromas of corn, grain, cereal. A touch of lemon, finishing with notes of earth and grain. Average.
