Citra Locals is our light and very tasty lager, but with a fun new twist. Bursting with fresh grapefruit aromas, similar complimentary hop flavors are perceived within, but without any imparted bitterness. The light pilsen malt creates a soft and subtle flavor profile that finishes crisp and clean, once the initial hoppy perceptions subside.

Appearance - Pours crystal clear golden color with nice white head that settles to a rocky cap. Spotty lacing.
Aroma - Light floral aroma combined with grapefruit hint of light melon and some light cracker.
Taste - Initial hit of mild hops quickly followed by biscuit and some very light honey. Quick flash of bitterness that subsides to more floral tastes on the end.
Feel - Light bodied, well carbonated light and clean finish.
Overall - Really enjoy the light balance of the bitter citrus and the slightly sweet flavor.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 7/31/2018. Pours crystal clear pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, cracker, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with no yeast notes present. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and moderately bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a fantastic dry hopped pale lager! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the mellowly/bitter drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Outstandingly vibrant, juicy, and lightly dank/earthy hops; with perfectly balanced clean pils malts. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example as expected.

Very nice, light, refreshing AAL that has just a little hoppy bite. Pale yellow color with a little head and very scant lingering lacing. Smells of grain and malt but also with just a hint of hoppy funkiness. Tastes of some fruit zest hops - grapefruit and orange - along with some grain, caramel, faint grassy hops and malt. Very nice refreshing bite with very little bitterness. Smooth mild mouthfeel and good carbonation. Definitely sessionable and would definitely buy a six-pack or two next time I’m at the store.

A - Pours a lightly hazed straw yellow with a one finger foamy white head. Heavy soapy lacing.
S - Aroma grapefruit peel, orange peel and pilsner malts.
T - The taste is grapefruit peel, lemon zest, toasted biscuit and light grassy hops.
M - Light body with medium/high carbonation. Soft mouthfeel with a crisp dry finish.
O - This is a nice AAL ramped up with Citra hops. I'd have no problem drinking these on a hot day.

I should note that this bottle has at least 5 months on it. A favorite of mine from Short's. Appearance is quite hazy. Almost pineapple juice like. Very nice lacing. Nose is of lemon zest. Taste follows the nose. Quite soft mouth feel. Wet finish. Alcohol is none existing in the taste.

Brief Review:
O: Been wanting to try this for a while. Local's Light has always been a great craft version of an AAL, but was always limited by its style. Splash some citra in there? Now we're talking. It still tastes like citra hopped-Bud Light in a way, but will take this any day over other AALs.
