12oz bottle served in a tulip. Packaged 10/27/17.
Pours dark brown with a medium head and lots of carbonation. Smell is vanilla, coffee, roast. A little sweet.
Taste is also a little sweet, coffee/roast and vanilla still.
Mouthfeel is light. Overall, it's a pretty good beer. Just rather unexciting.

Dark brown appearance, little lacing or head.
It smells of coffee, vanilla and maybe notes of cherry.
Taste is coffee, chocolate and slight vanilla in the background.
Thin mouthfeel, dry finish.
Overall it's an ok beer. Doesn't knock it out of the park in my opinion, but I've ordered it on tap and bought a single. So it's serviceable.

Pours dark brown. Foamy, short, tan head that last a little while fading to a lasting ring.
Smells coffee, roasty malts, vanilla and light chocolate.
Taste Roast malt, coffee, light vanilla and light chocolate. Finishes semi-dry with a Nutty linger. Medium body and smooth lower carbonation.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 9/27/2017. Pours clear nearly opaque dark brown color with a 1 finger fairly dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of nutty medium roast coffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of vanilla, smoke, dark fruit, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee, and light earthy hop/vanilla notes; with solid strength. Taste of big nutty medium roast coffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, and toasted dark/brown bread; with light notes of vanilla, smoke, dark fruit, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal hop and roasted coffee bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of nutty coffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toasted dark/brown bread, light smoke/dark fruit, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee, and light earthy hop/vanilla flavors; with a nice roasted bitter/sweet balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from hop/roast bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and slightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very nice coffee porter. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee, and light earthy hop/vanilla flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Nice fruity/nutty coffee presence; with balanced and well rounded porter malt complexity. Not overly bitter or roasty. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.
