Sour Parade is an American Sour Ale brewed with strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and flaked rye. Ruby red with a bubbly white head, at first glance Sour Parade looks like the Soft Parade we know and love, but a sour secret awaits. A fruity aroma of fresh berries and just a hint of sourdough bread meets the nose. Sweet berry and spicy flavors reminiscent of Soft Parade are accompanied by a bright, sour acidity.

Very pretty brew, clear on the edges but with a slight haze in the body when combined with the deep pinkish-reddish color creates a dark translucency. Decent head production and OK retention. After you let the beer sit and then swirl, quite a bit of fine particulate is revealed - nothing unattractive.

Very fruity and tart aroma. No hint of sourness beyond that naturally imparted by the melange of berries.

Quite a lovely note of sourness on the palate, although it's more kettle sour than fruited lambic in character, lacking in any funk or complexity. The berries come together almost indistinguishably, although strawberry is most noticeable, raspberry secondly.

This is a tasty sour berry brew.
