DaVine is an American sour ale brewed with Pinot Noir grapes and has an enticing ruby hue and wine like aroma. This light bodied ale has notes of berries, subtle wheat, and light cherry while finishing dry and tart.

This one is going to be on the low end of my Short's brews. The problem is there is, beyond mouthfeel, no there. Light grape juice and wheat notes are in the aroma and flavor, but beyond that, this purple-hued reformulated Da Vine (apparently the original was more golden color) has a wonderful semi-full feel of a wheat ale but otherwise everything else is, well, "subtle", if I'm being kind. Not flavorful, not offensive, just there.

This is a golden ale made with Pinot Noir grapes from Chateau Chantel winery.
A: Pours gold with a finger of white head.
S: Grapefruit and just a hint of wine.
T: Tropical hop flavor upfront followed by slight malt sweetness. Middle is a winelike tartness. Finish is a nice Pinot dryness.
M: Heavy side of light with above average carbonation.
O: The Pinot blends well and does'nt overpower.
