A: Can't give a super accurate description of the appearance due to the dim lighting of the pub, but it is clearly brown in color. Head dissipated soon after it was brought to the table.
S: Aroma is quite malty with a light but pleasing English hop aroma.
T: Large delivery of malt here. Big biscuit and caramel flavors up front. The finish is a nice display of soft, yet bitter English hops that do an excellent job of balancing the sweet maltiness.
M: Not as light as I would like to see in an English style beer like this, but still easy drinking and nicely carbonated.
O: An excellent beer from Short's that the Mitchell Street Pub should be proud to serve exclusively.

I've seen this in a few places. A mainstay at the Mitchell Street Pub in Petoskey, MI but have also seen pop up at Short's events and The Pyramid Scheme in Grand Rapids which features 10 Short's beers.
A-Standard brown ale color with a surprisingly thick head. Leaves a nice lacing that is to be desired in a brown ale.
S-All malt on this one. Absent are the nutty/smoky aromas in Bellaire Brown.
T- Not too many hops in this one. Would be comparable to a Southern English or a London Brown Ale that focuses more on malt and less on hops. Incredible sweet caramel notes.
M-Stil a heavier beer but much easier drinking than other Short's brews. Excellent for fall.

Brewed exclusively for the Mitchel Street Pub in Petoskey, MI
Nice mahogany under a good tan head that shows some staying power and leaves a gobby, ringed lace as it goes down.
Rich malts and a citrus like hop aroma. Full nosed, but no alcoholic fumes.
Tastes a lot like it smells with a nice pairing of slightly roasted malt and the hops coming in with a pleasant bitterness and citrus like finish.
It has body, but pairs well with the walleye and pub fries. Worked very well with the cheese curd and remoulade appitizer we shared.
Fans of Short's will not want to miss this one. It has the characteristic complexity and hop presence expected from many of the Short's offerings. If you ever find yourself in Petoskey and the town is starting to shut down, most places in the neighborhood hang the Closed sign by 5pm or so, drop into the Pub and order one. You won't be disappointed.
