From a can. A Trader Joe’s find!
Pours the color of a berry purée, a raspberry pink in color. Jammy raspberry notes on the nose and sip. The lime cuts through the sweetness, and there’s a zippy effervescence on the finish.

I didn’t quite taste the blackberry and lime, but it was a nice barnyard funk with the right amount of tartness. Overall, this is a solid sour brew from Jolly Pumpkin.

This beer pours out a reddish pink with a small white head on top. Has a strong perfume smell. Has a little sour kick with hints of berries and lemon zest.

I like Saisons and didn't read the label on the 16 oz can saying blackberry and Lime. I poured the beer into a pint glass and noticed the odd color - kind of half-way between reddish-pink and orange. I thought to myself this is going to be bad!!! It turned out much better than I expected. Appearance wasn't much - the odd-ball color and fast fading head with minimal lacing. The aroma and taste were better than I expected. What I like about Saisons is the yeast and dank/horse blanket aspects. This beer has those, but only after encountering the fruit. It starts out a bit sweet from the blackberries and then tart from the limes. Beyond that, the traditional Saison yeast/funk/sourness kicks in but still a bit subtle. Mouthfeel winds up tart with a lot of different flavors on the tongue. Try this beer without any pre-conceived ideas and you will probably like it!!!!!

Appearance is fairly vibrant, with a nice cranberry hue and a decent amount of fizzy off-white head. Aroma is really nice...plenty of funk, some oak, along with blackberry & lime. Taste is....odd. Everything is muted except the salt, which is not something that (in my opinion) should be the focal point of a beer. I get a little bit of blackberry, and a tiny bit of funk (much less than I expected based off the nose), but mostly salt. Overall, it's a bit under-carbonated and thin. Glad to have been able to try it, but I'd have to think that this isn't exactly what the brewer intended.

Poured at 40 degrees, from a can packaged on 5/11/20.
Appearance - Pours an opaque, turbid plum color, with approximately a single finger of head that dissipates very quickly. There's also what looks like a purple-ish puree sediment floating in the lingering head.
Aroma - Slight presence of volatiles and funk, citrus lightly poking through.
Taste - Salt lick, with little blackberry or citrus lime representation, although there is a slight funky bitterness as reflection of the style. Again, heavy presence on the salt adjunct.
Mouthfeel - Very light with a crisp, bright carbonation profile.
Overall - Although I definitely enjoyed this beer, its surely not what I was expecting. If this were a blind tasting there would be no way I would be able to venture far from a fruited gose on this one. Crisp, refreshing brew that, in the right context, I would enjoy again.
