Hi everyone! I'm in California for all the summer and I want to discover more things about american craft beers (i'm french). So if you have good adress for brewpubs, taprooms, retailers or shop (breweries' merchandising) in San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego I will thank you to let me know! Cheers!

I go to SF this weekend. The bars you spoke about seem really cool, with good beers selections but I just want to know what are your opinions about the Mikkeller Bar? Too expensive?
If you're in the Bay Area, highly recommend a trip across the Bay to: Fieldwork And if you have time, Faction
The last time I was in San Francisco I had a great time at Mikkeller bar. I wanted to tour Anchor Brewing but you have to reserve it in advance.
My wife and I grabbed lunch at Mikkeller SF this past weekend. Their Brat and Half Smoke were pretty solid from a food perspective. Waves IPA was pretty cool - big, ripe strawberry & melon flavors. They have a Spotandryhop - flight (citra, simcoe & centennial) that is pretty fun. Its definitely worth a visit. It is pricey but not prohibitive and makes a nice contrast to the beers you will get at Cellarmaker and City Beer Store down the street.
So finally I try 2 bars/brewpubs at SF : Mikkeller Bar and Cellarmaker. The two was very good, thanks for the advices. Now I have a question about the Stone festival organized for the 20th anniversary of the brewery. I'm very interested to go to this festival but is there someone who can explain me the difference between the session A and the session B. Moreover I would like to know if there is someone in Orange County (especially near Irvine/Newport Beach) who goes to this festival. Indeed my friends are not interested by this type of event so If there is someone who is interested to go to this festival with a friendly french guy (^^) and have a place in his car (I would pay of course) just let me know.
Different Sessions are just that, 2 different time periods to drink roughly the same beers. Sure some breweries may bring out something else for the second session but really we have no idea. So the real difference is only the time, that is all.
