Just got a response back from FFF that they're aiming for a Spring DLD.

 

looks good to me, thanks again! and sorry for the clusterfuck. i typically take a lot of pride in adding / editing accurate information but clearly didn’t read the fine print here. i think there was also a misprint between the DLD website and the chemtrail bottle labels. thanks again!

 

It would be nice if it was in like March... when the weather is still geared towards drinking stouts.

Their usual May date is technically still spring... and it can be 50 degrees or it can be 90 degrees...

So an "early" spring date would be ideal, IMO.

I'd say there's not a single person who wants to do DLD in 80+ degree weather.

 

back to business as normal, anyone know if 2-year FVM was part of the 2020 mystery packs?

 

Dunno. I pulled 2020 Handjee out of my mystery pack.

 

didn’t know if all variants were available or not. i thought i saw something on ig stories of a box that was labeled “2FVM” or “FVM2”

 

I asked what the variant options were on Friday, and I don’t recall that being one of the options.

 

Yeah, no idea. I'm happy with what I pulled, though.

Considering my first three years of DL was sub 40 and raining, I can pass on March, especially as I remember my old lady getting blue lips and drinking way more than she otherwise would, not just because of the Dark Lord's influence, but just in hopes of staying warm.

 

Sometime between late March and late April is probably good. I think May is too hit or miss on if it will be hot. I think you're far better off drinking 15%+ beers when it's 40, or sub 40, than when it's 80+. Far less health risk. Just my opinion.

 

I'm a year round stout drinker. The only thing I reserve in my cellar for winter is barleywine, and that's just out of nostalgia. DLD has never been hot, even the last few sunny years pre-pandemic, at least to my preferences. Try sweating for an hour or two just waiting for the running of the neckbeards at Huna Day in Tampa. That's some serious endurance testing. What's crazy is I've seen far fewer messed up people there than in Munster.

 

At the Chicago Brewpub?

 

There is a whole host of people who want that. Haven’t you been to the last few in person DLDs full of girls in sun dresses and bros in shorts and flip flops? Neckbeards and metal heads are becoming an endangered species in Munster as climate change warms the beer fests and competing species move in.

Is it too early to start speculating about Dark Lord Day 2023? I am wondering about a Dragon Abortion reunion show.
