If by chance you have trouble with finding some of those mentioned there is another strategy you can use. Go to the beer styles list and click on the link for the Berliner and it will bring up a list of those that have been reviewed on the site. The first list you see is ordered by the number of reviews. Generally there's some relationship between their order on that list and their availability, so that might help in knowing which to look for first. Also if you click on the link at the top of the page you'll get the list ordered by there BA rating score. That might be useful in helping you decide which ones (if you have many choices) to start with in trying more. Enjoy!

I too 'vote' for Evil Twin - Nomader Weisse.

    Cheers!

While expensive, Nomader Weiss is my favorite regularly availalble Berliner

Strangeways fruited berliners are awesome if you can find someone around VA to get them.

I have to offer the suggestion of getting a couple of proper German Berliner weisses.

Try some gose beer. You might enjoy that as well. The Victory Kirsch Gose was cool. The standard Leipziger Gose and Ritterguts are good too. Blood Orange Gose from Anderson Valley is phenomenal!

Night Shift does season ones, all of which are excellent.

This is one and will point you towards the list of them. There are six or seven with more coming.

The Somer Weisse is excellent too. Flavored with lemongrass and ginger.

Came here to say this. A fantastic one, and it's been everywhere around here. Been crushing it so much. Delicious.

Was about to suggest WB, I actually like the blueberry more than the original but both are great.

What with them launching Bruery Terreux I'm hoping that Hottenroth will become a year round offering as being able to go and pick up growlers of Hottenroth whenever I want is a wonderful, wonderful thing. Also, I can't wait to try the new Hottenroth with Peaches.

Also OP you may like Victory Kirsch Gose, it's a sour cherry gose but I personally found it to have a lot of sour wheat on the palate not dissimilar to BW.

Not sure where in MA you are but just find the nearest Craft Beer Cellar, the one in Westford always has it and I think the others will too. I've been seeing cans of the WB Berliner popping up everywhere in my area though so I'm sure you'll start to see it around.

@MikeTheVine If you like Berliner Weisse keep an eye out for Gose style beers too. They have alot of similarities in flavors and both sytles are enjoying a nice rise in popularity. Victory Kirsch Gose should be relatively easy to find, but mind you the cherries Victory added are a twist on a traditional Gose. Sixpoint Jammer Gose is probably more traditional and has good distribution. I'm sure there are some others local to you I'm not aware of.

Came in to say 1809 by Fritz Briem. The Tap makes one called Intergalactic Acid that's pretty good - it just hit shelves this week.

If you like Berliners, you might also enjoy the Gose style. There are a couple that are semi-easy to find; Anderson Valley makes one and the Leipziger Gose is the classic example.

I've fallen in love with Berliner's (Gose's too) over the last 3-4 years and up until the last year there weren't many options available year round. It appears that has changed and the style is gaining traction. Yippee!

With all that being said, the easiest way to get a Berliner for cheap is to brew your own. Super simple to do and real cheap to brew given it takes very little malt and little to no hops.

Texas seems to be exploding recently with this style. If you have access to any of these, give them a try.

    Saint Arnold Boiler Room
    Independence Redbud
Freetail Yo Soy Un Berliner (about to be released in cans)

Outside of Texas, any berlinerweiss by Destihl!!!
