Crappy Beer Tasting

Another vote for Cherry Wheat from Samuel Adams!! That's an awful beer!!

 

Sweet baby Jesus..... 3 sip drain pour. Artificial metalic mess. How this is a top selling beer is beyond me.

4hands contact high is also a recent drain pour. Flowery soap.

Shiner Cheer. THe sample I had tasted like cough syrup. It usually shows as a Dunkelweissen, but I have had those and liked them.

 

Yet, someone buys it...fermented clam juice...eeeesh!

Some great suggestions already, so I'll just add two from my worst beer experiences. Neither of these would be the easiest to come by anymore I think, but both stand out, sharply, in my mind as not just simply "crappy" but down right offensive, revolting, and awful.

Like a thin whiskey barrel aged beer was poured into a full ashtray at Binions Casino on Fremont in Las Vegas, then bottled.

My personal experience, like someone vommited into a bottle, capped it, chilled it, then later served it.

I spit both of these beers out, and poured what was in my glass out as well, a very rare response for me. Sure I might regret a buy, or a pour here and there, but usually I still finish what I have...not the case with either of these.

 

Pretty sure one batch of Blue Lady went bad in the bottles. @NOTpipeworks confirmation on this? I just seem to remember something about it when I lived in the Chicago region.

 

I'm sure your right, since many of the reviews are positive, and quite contrary to my experience. If memory serves, the BA that shared the bottle with me said it was something about the way the batch was soured (that went awry and out of control) if the OP could find that batch, still would be a unique experience as to what can go wrong.

I realize I am in the minority here but I have really been enjoying this one. I don't quite get the hate, though I appreciate that I am more the exception by liking it.
