I need some help. Will be in town visiting some family, and am looking for 1 or 2 must go to beer events, bars, or beer centered locations. Haven't seen family on awhile, so I can't spend too much time on my beer quest (they aren't into craft beer). Any suggestions will be much appreciated.
Don't know of any events, but probably closest to you would be Deep Ellum Brew Co, Community Brewing Co, 4 Corners Brewing and Bishop Cider Co. Lots of other breweries in area.
I hear good things about Community. I'm thinking Community and the Meddlesome Moth. Any thoughts on the Meddlesome Moth? I've heard a lot of good things, but a few negatives like too busy, and not having many on tap options. Website looks awesome though
In that area there is not too much. In Arlington there is division brewing, kool keg, Dr jekyll, and world of beer. Also a total wine by the parks mall. Hope this helps.
Meddlesome Moth can be pretty packed and hard to get into at night on weekends. Are you looking for events during the weekend or during the week. Best thing would be to go to the places link for Dallas and check hours on where you want to go. I was there end of January and on a Saturday hit the following. All were great and had lots of different taps with exception of Texas Ale Project, but they had the best beer of the day The Caucasian Lakewood Brewing Oak Highland Brewing Texas Ale Project Community Meddlesome Moth
Kool Keg in Arlington will be the best beer bar near you. They have a great selection and bottles to go. Plus they have growlers. Ron's Corner Tavern is a little bit further but also have decent taplist. As far as bottle shops go, you will probably need to go to Dallas or Ft. Worth. Or there is Hall's in Colleyville. Those are all places not too far from GP. If you want to go to Ft. Worth, I highly recommend Collective Brewing Project for a brewery and Bearded Lady for taps and food.
Might scratch meddlesome moth and just hit up community and kool keg. I appreciate the help. Haven't been to GP in a long time and so much had changed the last time I went. Looking forward to trying some local stuff
