Hey beer friends i'm heading up for the first time to spend the 4th of july weekend in seattle. i need help. please recommend me some good breweries because i can't think of any off the top of my head. plus, there are always a couple the locals know of that others don't.
Holy Mountain Fremont Rubens Seapine Check this thread out: http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/visiting-seattle-winter-2016-update.372377/
Here's the Spring Visiting thread: http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/visiting-seattle-spring-2016-update.400148/ Personally, I always suggest Big Time, Naked City, and Schooner Exact.
My top three are Holy Mountain, Fremont, and Stoup. I personally don't understand why Reuben's gets so much hype, their beers are fine but don't do much for me. I seem to be the only one that feels that way though! Also, it's not a brewery, but think about making the trip up to Chuck's Hop Shop (www.chucks85th.com). That's probably my favorite beer spot, always an awesome selection plus it's a bottle shop.
Agree with all of the comments already posted. Definitely hit Fremont & Holy Mountain if you don't visit anywhere else (though, for the love of all things good & holy, visit as many places as you can!). Cheers!
