There are tons of threads on this, samples: http://www.beeradvocate.com/communi...-beers-should-i-look-for.316047/#post-3894085 http://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/heading-to-obx.330535/#post-4040610 Short answer, Chips & Trio for bottle shops, & be sure to check out the brewing station. Take the short drive to Manteo and check out Full Moon café & Outer Banks Distilling
Good advice. I had better luck at Trio. Just missed getting the Born Yesterday release by a few days at both bottle shops but at least it shows both places bring in new stuff.
Waveriders Coffee & Deli in Nags Head at MP 11 is a good spot to grab a quick lunch and a beer. Small place, six beers on tap, decent bottle selection. Nothing that will blow you away with rare stuff, but a good enough selection and super friendly staff. I stopped in for the first time this past summer and loved it. It will be a must stop for me each time I'm down there. I read about a place called Buffalo City Jug Shop that opened up somewhat recently. Also in Nags Head at MP 13. I've personally never been but from what I saw it looked like a cool place. I plan on checking it out next time I'm down that way.
I got a bcbs off of a guy who said he stumbled upon two cases of it at a harris teeter in kill devil hills...the day BEFORE thanksgiving!
