I'll be staying at the Gaylord Texan Wednesday and Thursday night in Grapevine. I'd like to hit a few beer shops that are fairly close (within 15 mins or so). Any suggestions?? Thanks!!

Hall's is closest. Grapevine Beer & Wine if you like high prices.

Ok - all 3 of these are close enough that I don't mind driving to any one of the 3. They all get great reviews. Any consensus favorite? If it's a toss up I'll just go to the closest (which I think is Halls).

Also - would be nice to find a good restaurant near whichever I go to, that has good food, drink selections and atmosphere. I've searched the net and found some that look good, but having never actually been to any it can kinda be a crapshoot. So any suggestions would also be much appreciated! Thanks again!

Not a ton I'd recommend around Lone Star that has good drinks and good food (Jack Mac's is probably the closest option with primarily local taps and good bar food), but if you like Korean there are good spots within ~15 min of it (one near George Bush Turnpike and 35, the other near 35 and Royal Ln). Plenty of other options both off of Dallas North Tollway and closer to downtown though. Supposedly the Colleyville area has some hidden gems for various cuisines, but I've never eaten in that area.

If you do WhipIn in Flower Mound I would go to Highland Village for dinner. http://www.whatsontapbeer.com/tap-list/ is also there.

If you do dinner in Grapevine, Tolbert's has a pretty good craft selection. You could eat anywhere on Main St in Grapevine.

Taps & Caps is just right off of 121 about 15 min north. You'll be happy.

If not, ask for Fern at Hall's you'll be happy!
