    Good morning BAs!

Fortunately, I've got a mixed case of better beers arriving any minute now (0800 - 1200).

Taking a beer break from repairing Christmas lights and weaning myself from all the barrel aged goodness consumed this weekend. The weather looks favorable the next two days to finish the outdoor decorating.

There's something orange in the foam that resembles chili powder. Perhaps cinnamon? That observation aside, it's still good as ever. Cheers to the holiday hangover!

Continuing with the Raspberry theme this morning at CCB tasting room - starting with the Port barrel aged raspberry imperial stout - 110K+OT Batch #6:

Had this last night and even better on tap! Big berries, chocolate, semi sweet, smooth and dry. Excellent tangy raspberry finish and linger. Cheers from Tampa!

    Anti-Hero IPA from Revolution...

Two posthumous birthdays nods of particular note today...
    Bruce Lee (11/27/40 – 7/20/73) and Jimi Hendrix (11/27/42 – 9/18/70)
Always a huge fan of both...

True icons of their times and trades...

I'd post the Hendrix I'm listening to, but Jimi's litigious sister controls his estate and doesn't like his studio music shared unless she's making money off it... a coldly effective strategy... This Dylan cover, however, eludes her grasp...

    One last Anti-Hero...
Horns up for Hendrix and Lee...

    Just a bit of kick starter . . .

Clear red amber color with white cap.

A spicy, dark fruit aroma. I get figs and cinnamon.

Taste on entry is simple and spicy. Imagine a low hopped dark amber ale with figs and cinnamon. There's more in there though I don't really get the orange peel as a separate flavor, rather something more in the mix. Flavors are good enough if you're in the mood for a mildly spiced amber brew.

    Medium-full texture with balancing carbonation.

Overall it's a pleasing ale that's inoffensive like a modest fellow who has much to be modest about.

Thanks to one of the guys from Cycle for bringing his family to Stowe back in July and stopping in to see me with this! Finally getting around to it as this is my last day of 9 days off and I'm home.

Moderate pour yields a one inch dark tan head over a dark brown body with some lacing.

Nose of milk chocolate, cinnamon, and bourbon.

Taste of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, bittersweet chocolate, cinnamon, and booze.

    Nice velvety feel.

Overall, a very well made BBA Imperial Stout and I'm glad I had the opportunity to try this.
