Crafted at Holland House in Nashville, Tenn.
A southern-inspired twist on the classic French 75 cocktail, the 12 lb. Napoleon relies on the flavors of Buffalo Trace Bourbon and Amaro Meletti, the kick of our house-made ginger syrup and fresh lemon juice for structure. Topping it off with Blackstone Restaurant & Brewery’s Kölsch-style Pale Ale results in a refreshing, effervescent drink.
1 1/2 oz Blackstone Restaurant & Brewery Chaser Pale (or another Kölsch, like Saint Arnold Fancy Lawnmower or New Holland Full Circle)
1 1/2 oz Buffalo Trace Bourbon
3/4 oz Amaro Meletti
1/2 oz lemon juice
1/4 oz ginger syrup
1 dash orange bitters
Shake all ingredients (except beer) in a cocktail shaker and finely strain into a chilled flute or coupe glass. Top with Kölsch and garnish with a piece of candied ginger.
Ginger Syrup Recipe
1 cup freshly juiced ginger root
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/8 sliced jalapeño
Combine juice, sugar and jalapeño in a saucepan and simmer until sugar is completely dissolved. ■
